"The running is what I'm seeking. It's good fun."

Along with the forward's six goals on his first game, Stephen Ireland has netted eight in three appearances for the side, while George Boyd hit five on his debut appearance and Lescott, a defender by position, scored a triple in one match as a striker.

One opponent, 38, who plays on the flank for the opposition, faced ex- Wigan full-back Maynor Figueroa on Sunday - and had to explain his nine-year-old boy who Emile Heskey was.
